Bar Advocates of Worcester County (BAWC) is a non-profit organization that administers criminal defense services for indigent clients accused of crimes in Worcester County. BAWC manages a panel of nearly 150 private attorneys who handle 90% of these cases.
BAWC administers this program for the Committee for Public Counsel Services, the state agency that oversees indigent criminal defense in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
